Since 2000 Mark is strongly involved on macro (governmental) and micro (hospital) level as interim- and project manager with a focus on management strategies for healthcare institutions. Mark is a highly regarded expert on strategic healthcare and healthcare politics in the Netherlands.
Mark is and was responsible for the implementation of strategy, business alignment, and business planning on board level in numerous hospitals in the Netherlands.
Mark has worked for over 8 years in the Russian Federation and has build up a perfect record of accomplishment in changing emerging economies.
On political level he is co-architect of the healthcare program for democratic party D66 and was a nominee for the Dutch Parliament during last elections in June 2010. Mark is acting as D66 Chairman of the city of Meppel.
